Chelsea predicted lineup vs Ipswich - Premier League

Chelsea return to Premier League action on Sunday afternoon when they welcome Ipswich Town to Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have been far from convincing in recent Premier League outings but were confident 3-0 winners during their Europa Conference League quarter-final first leg with Legia Warsaw on Thursday night. A morale-boosting result should help them put Championship-bound Ipswich to the sword this weekend.

Enzo Maresca made sweeping changes to his starting lineup in Warsaw having rotated last weekend against Brentford, but the Italian should revert to a more familiar XI for Ipswich's visit.

Here is how Chelsea could line up.

GK: Robert Sanchez - Filip Jorgensen did nothing wrong during his outing on Thursday evening but Sanchez is likely to be restored to the starting lineup against Ipswich. The Spaniard has made some crucial saves in recent weeks.

RB: Malo Gusto - Chelsea have kept three consecutive clean sheets and Gusto has started all three of said clashes. With Reece James featuring for almost an hour midweek, the skipper could be rested in favour of his French clubmate on Sunday.

CB: Trevoh Chalobah - Chalobah enjoyed the evening off midweek despite making the trip to Poland and will be well-rested for a battle with Chelsea transfer target Liam Delap, who is in encouraging goalscoring form.

CB: Levi Colwill - Colwill has played alongside Delap during their England youth days and could call him a teammate again next season. For the time being, he'll be tasked with shackling the towering striker.

LB: Marc Cucurella - Cucurella impressed from the bench on Thursday night and enters Sunday's fixture in a confident mood following some eye-catching performances during recent weeks.

DM: Moises Caicedo - The Ecuador international is seldom rested for club or country but wasn't needed against Legia. He will feel the benefit on Sunday against an Ipswich side unlikely to cause him too many issues.

DM: Enzo Fernandez - Fernandez's creative spark has been in full view over recent weeks and the midfielder will be aiming to contribute in the final third against Ipswich's deep defence.

RW: Noni Madueke - Chelsea's game-changer from the bench midweek, Madueke was at the double in Poland as he scored his first goals since returning from injury.

AM: Cole Palmer - There were fears over Palmer's fitness when he was withdrawn at half-time against Legia, but Maresca has quashed any concerns after revealing the alteration was pre-planned.

LW: Pedro Neto - Neto is six games without a goal or assist for club or country and Chelsea need the explosive Portuguese to rediscover his mojo in the closing weeks of the season.

ST: Nicolas Jackson - Christopher Nkunku's penalty miss on Thursday further highlighted Jackson's significance to this Chelsea team. The Senegalese brings some much-needed speed and energy in the forward line.
