When it comes to the ongoing debate between Kylian Mbappe and Vinícius Jr., Palmer has a clear favourite. He confidently stated that Mbappe is currently the better player.

According to the Chelsea footballer, the French forward’s impact on the pitch is unmatched, making him the best player in the world at the moment.

This is a bold statement, especially considering the incredible form Vinicius has shown at Real Madrid and the fact that he is one of the contenders for the Ballon d’Or.

However, Palmer believes that Mbappe’s overall contributions and consistent performances place him at the top of the list.

“Best player in the world? Mbappe or Vini Jr,” he told GOAL.

When told to pick one, he said, “Mbappe.”

Best passer? No doubt

In addition to his praise for Mbappe, Palmer also shared his thoughts on who he considers the best passer in football.

Here, he did not hesitate to name Toni Kroos, the former Real Madrid midfielder, as the greatest passer the sport has ever seen.

Palmer’s admiration for Kroos is evident, as he placed the German maestro above other renowned playmakers like Kevin De Bruyne and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

“Best passer in history past or present? You got Kevin de Bruyne, Trent, Nah! It’s Toni Kroos,” he said.

Palmer’s choice of Mbappe as the best in the world and Kroos as the top passer shows that he values players who can consistently perform at the highest level.

These opinions are sure to spark debate among fans, but they also give insight into how Palmer views the game and what he values most in his peers.
