Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Juventus left-back Andrea Cambiaso.

The Blues endured an underwhelming 2025-26 campaign, with managers Enzo Maresca and Liam Rosenior losing their jobs after a poor run of results.

Marc Cucurella was upset about Maresca’s sacking in January and openly criticised the club for the decision.

He is now willing to leave the London club after they failed to qualify for Europe next season.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chelsea have identified Cambiaso as a potential replacement.

Xabi Alonso, who will begin his role at Stamford Bridge on July 1, is reportedly an admirer of the Serie A star.

Alonso wanted to sign Cambiaso when he was in charge of Real Madrid.

The Italy international has been a key first-team player for Juventus, scoring eight goals in 132 appearances across all competitions.

However, the full-back made a series of defensive mistakes that cost his side this season, and is no longer deemed untouchable in Turin.

Juventus are prepared to listen to offers for Cambiaso as they look to offset the loss of Champions League revenue after finishing sixth in Serie A.

A fee in the region of £43 million could be sufficient to persuade them to sell Cambiaso, who is contracted until 2029.

Chelsea face competition from Barcelona and Como, who have enquired about the player’s availability this summer.
