Chelsea table offer to sign Real Madrid star in January | OneFootball

Premier League outfit Chelsea have gone as far as to table an opening offer for Real Madrid defender Antonio Rüdiger.

That’s according to Fichajes, who have this week provided an insight into the situation.

Stopper Rüdiger, once considered an integral figure in Spain’s capital, is now viewed as increasingly likely to depart over the months ahead.

Owing to a combination of declining form and injury troubles, the Real Madrid brass are understood to be more than open to winter offers for the German international.

This comes ahead of the expiration of his contract terms next summer.

And with as much in mind, one suitor have positioned themselves at the very front of the queue for his signature.

Chelsea, amid a search for experienced reinforcements at the back, are said to be more than keen to bring Rüdiger back to Stamford Bridge.

So much so that, as per Fichajes, the Blues have tabled a bid in the region of €8 million for his signature.

As much, it is added, was turned down by Real Madrid, of the opinion that despite his contract situation, the 32-year-old is worth more.

Chelsea, not yet deterred, are in turn considering returning with an improved proposal.
