Chelsea are looking to loan out or sell Ben Chilwell and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall but nothing has progressed according to The Athletic.

With the January window in full swing things are starting to gather pace, although Chelsea haven’t moved anyone on or signed anyone at this point.

The Blues were expected to have a quiet month, but it seems that’s going to change due to injuries to Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile, with there a chance one or two new faces arrive this month.

No progress on Dewsbury-Hall and Chilwell Chelsea departures

Whilst Chelsea are seemingly looking to add the Blues also need to move a number of players on to raise funds and make space for any potential new arrivals.

Carney Chukwuemeka has been told he can leave with Borussia Dortmund keen on signing the midfielder on loan, whilst Renato Veiga is also pushing to join the German outfit.

The Blues are looking to move on both Chilwell and Dewsbury-Hall, although that might be easier said than done.

The Athletic have reported Chelsea are looking to loan or sell the pair, but nothing has progressed at this point in time.

Chilwell is not part of the plans and has only played 45 minutes of football this season, but given his injury record and high wages there are seemingly very few suitors and the Blues have only fielded some initial enquiries.

Dewsbury-Hall’s case is slightly different and a bit of a surprise given the Blues paid £30m to sign the 26-year-old in the summer, but things haven’t gone to plan and he’s yet to start a Premier league game.

He’s seemingly surplus to requirements already having only joined six months ago and there’s been reported interest from West Ham, who are now managed by former Chelsea boss Graham Potter.

It seems these deals could go right to the wire, but in Chelsea’s case it’s more important to find a solution for Chilwell given he’s not playing at all and is on significant wages.
