Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has made it clear that Randal Kolo Muani isn’t the type of striker he’s looking for. However, a recent report has revealed that there is one forward who has caught Enrique’s eye.

According to Fichajes, Enrique views Alexander Isak of Newcastle United as a key target for his project. The Spanish coach is impressed by the Swedish striker’s pace, technical ability, and finishing, all of which he believes would suit the offensive system he plans to implement at PSG.

Meanwhile, TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey reported on Thursday, citing sources, that Barcelona have been keeping an eye on Isak in recent weeks.

The report suggests that Hansi Flick’s team has sent scouts to several matches, including the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Arsenal, to assess Isak, who has been described as “unstoppable.”

Barcelona are preparing to part ways with 36-year-old Robert Lewandowski this summer, with Erling Haaland long considered president Joan Laporta’s ideal replacement.

Former Newcastle star Alan Shearer believes Alexander Isak’s value could surpass £150 million thanks to his impressive form. Shearer suggests Chelsea may have an advantage over Arsenal in the race to sign the forward but advises the Blues to tread carefully, as the price tag could climb even higher.

“Other than possibly Chelsea, I genuinely don’t think that anybody could afford to buy Alexander Isak; because of the way that the rules are structured with PSR, I don’t think that anybody could afford him,” Shearer said (h/t Daily Mirror).

“I’ll never say PSR rules are a good thing – even without them in place, I’m not sure if anybody would be able to go to the price that Newcastle would ask for to sell him.

“I’d guess that they wouldn’t even entertain it. If you’ve paid £63m for someone and he’s smashing the league up like he is right now, what would the price be?

“I’ve looked at £150m being talked about, but I don’t think that they would even entertain that, why would they? The problem then would be getting somebody in who could do as good of a job.

“That, at the minute, is what everybody needs – a centre-forward. There isn’t a club in the country who wouldn’t go out and buy a centre-forward like Isak if one was available.”
