Enzo Maresca will be able to call upon Joao Pedro, Enzo Fernandez, and Moises Caicedo for Chelsea’s trip to Tottenham.

Maresca admitted after last weekend’s shock 2-1 home defeat to Sunderland that the trio have been nursing injuries, and he opted to rest Joao Pedro entirely for Wednesday’s 4-3 win over Wolves in the Carabao Cup.

The Chelsea head coach will be glad to have Joao Pedro, who has not trained fully in recent weeks due to a groin issue, available against Spurs.

Fellow striker Liam Delap is suspended after he was sent off on his return from injury at Wolves.

Fernandez and Caicedo, meanwhile, were both brought off the bench at Molineux as Chelsea booked a spot in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.

On the trio, Maresca said in his pre-match press conference that Chelsea were trying to protect them and their fitness would be assessed on a game by game basis.

“Yes, they are OK, they are available,” Maresca said

“The reason why Joao didn't play against Wolves is because we tried to protect him. The same thing was with Enzo and Moi, just to give them some minutes, but the idea is to protect these players.”

Cole Palmer and Benoit Badiashile remain long-term absentees and are not expected back until December.

Dario Essugo is also working his way back from thigh surgery and is not expected back until next year, while Levi Colwill is set to miss the majority of the season with a knee injury.

Despite grabbing a goal and two assists against Wolves, Jamie Gittens is expected to drop out of the side at Spurs.

There will be wholesale changes to the backline after Chelsea shipped three goals against Wolves in a hectic second-half performance.

Predicted Chelsea XI: Sanchez, James, Tosin, Chalobah, Cucurella, Caicedo, Fernandez, Estevao, Joao Pedro, Neto, Guiu

Injured: Palmer, Badiashile, Essugo, Colwill

Suspended: Delap
