After a thunderstorm delayed the start of the match by almost two hours, the pitch at AKRON Stadium looked impeccable for the postponed match from Matchday 1 of the 2025 Apertura between Chivas and Tigres. Although the match was evenly balanced, El Rebaño had several chances to score but failed to get on the scoreboard, with the match ending in a goalless draw on Wednesday night.

Guadalajara practically tied up the Monterrey team, which was able to generate very few chances during the 90 minutes, and those it did have were easily dealt with by 'Tala' Rangel, while on offense, the Rojiblanco team made several dangerous approaches, especially in the second half, but Nahuel Guzmán was the savior of the Auriazul cause.
