Chivas Femenil showed the grit and mentality that characterizes them, coming from behind to remain undefeated at AKRON Stadium with a 1-1 draw against Rayadas in Matchday 8 of the 2025 Apertura. With this result, Antonio Contreras' team reached 14 points in the tournament.

Confident in the team's performance in the previous match, the Rojiblanco coach fielded the same starting eleven in an attempt to repeat the feat at Estadio Jalisco. However, very early in the match, the Albiazul team scored a goal, putting Chivas on the back foot.

As has been the case in their matches this semester, the Rebaño Sagrado never gave up: they sought to balance the field as soon as possible and created danger in the opponent's goal, hoping for a draw. As the clock ticked down, the Rojiblanco team, along with changes from the bench, pinned Rayadas back in their own half until they found the equalizer near the end of the match. They could even have snatched victory at the death, but the opposition's defensive work prevented that.

Guadalajara will play at home again this week, when they host Tigres for Matchday 9 of the AP25 on Sunday, August 31, at 11 a.m., at the AKRON Stadium.

Goals

- In the 7th minute, the visitors opened the scoring with a long ball that Lucía García finished off.- 'Boyi' appeared to equalize! In the 87th minute, she found a rebound in the penalty area and fired a shot into the goal to level the score.

Dangerous moments

- In the 5th minute, Alicia Cervantes broke away on the left, escaped two opponents, and, with Manrique closing in, shot at the near post, only to be denied by the goalkeeper.- What a save on 'Licha'! In the 11th minute, 'La Depredadora' took the ball on the right, saw the goalkeeper off her line, and aimed for the far post, forcing Manrique to make a save.- In the 20th minute, Denise Castro and Yamile Franco combined in the half-moon, Denise saw the space and tried from distance, but Rayada's goalkeeper was in position.- BLANCAAA, IMPRESSIVE! In the 48th minute, a regal header caught Félix off guard, crashed into the post, and just when it looked like the visitors were going to score their second goal, the Rojiblanca goalkeeper's save prevented it on the line.- In the 54th minute, 'Licha' had another chance after a measured pass from 'Caro' into the heart of the area; the striker flicked the ball over Manrique, but missed by a whisker.- Caro then appeared in the 56th minute after a good individual play by Denise; the Comandante received the ball, saw the space, and aimed for the top corner, but the goalkeeper's dive sent the ball out for a corner kick.- In the 70th minute, Yamile Franco picked up a rebound outside the area, settled herself and tried a right-footed shot that went over the crossbar.- In the 73rd minute, 'Viri' set up 'Licha' in space, who faced Manrique and lobbed the ball, but the goalkeeper's humanity stopped the shot.- Denise had a chance in the 81st minute in a one-on-one situation, but she was unable to get past the goalkeeper.- In the 86th minute, 'Boyi' Iturbide cut inside the area to shake off her marker and, with the inside of her foot, aimed for the far post, where the goalkeeper could not reach, but an opponent got there first to prevent the goal.
