Christensen Gets 8.5, Garcia With 8 | Barcelona Players Rated In Solid Win Vs Guadalajara

Barcelona clashed heads with Guadalajara at the Pedro Escartin Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result in the Copa del Rey. The Catalan club made a good start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.
Andreas Christensen scored the opener for Hansi Flick’s side in the 76th minute before Marcus Rashford killed the game off in the 90th minute. The contest finished with Barcelona securing a solid 2-0 win away from home.
Let’s take a look at how each Barcelona player fared during the clash against Guadalajara.
He made a few solid saves at the back and kept an important clean sheet on the road tonight.

Torrents performed his defensive duties well and was substituted in the 63rd minute.

He didn’t do much wrong defensively and was a good presence on the ball.
CB: Andreas Christensen – 8.5/10
Christensen did enough to restrict the home side from scoring tonight and was responsible for scoring the opener in the 76th minute.

RB: Marc Casado – 7/10
He was solid when defending inside his half and retained possession well for his team.
CM: Frenkie de Jong – 8/10
De Jong ran the show in the opponent’s half and picked up an assist for setting up Christensen’s opener.
CM: Fermin Lopez – 6.5/10
He was not shy of having a strike at goal but failed to get his name on the scoresheet.
CM: Marc Bernal – 7.5/10
Bernal distributed the ball well from midfield and offered decent protection for his teammates at the back.
LW: Roony Bardghji – 6/10
He managed to shine at times but struggled to influence the game in the final third.
RW: Lamine Yamal – 7/10
Yamal caught the eye at times in the final third but failed to find the back of the net.
ST: Marcus Rashford – 7.5/10
He got himself into some dangerous areas but struggled to take his chances. Rashford finally managed to get his name on the scoresheet in the 90th minute.
