City Are Back: Everything you need to know about our Open Training event | OneFootball

We are looking forward to welcoming our supporters to the Joie Stadium on Tuesday 5 August for City Are Back presented by Etihad Airways.

See below some important information about the event, including key timings, what to expect and how to get here.

Key timings & important ticket information

•    Gates open at 12:30•    Kids Fanzone runs from 12:30 to 14:30•    First team training starts at 13:50•    Last entry to the event is 14:00•    The event ends at 16:30

All event tickets have been sent via email. Please ensure you have downloaded your ticket to your mobile device before arriving at the Joie Stadium. Please click here to find our mobile ticketing FAQs, if you need help downloading.

As part of our stadium turnstile upgrades, you will notice the turnstiles look different upon arriving at the Joie Stadium. Entering the stadium will be the same as previous visits to our campus, and our staff will be on hand to help.

What to expect

At this event you will have the opportunity to get up close and watch an exclusive training session for both the men’s and women’s team ahead of the new season.

Training will begin at 13:50 and you will also hear from Pep Guardiola and Andrée Jeglertz, along with our new signings from both teams!

Please note: after their victory in EURO 2025, our Lionesses are taking a well deserved holiday and won't be joining us on Tuesday. Kerolin will also be busy finishing up the Copa America in Ecuador.

Away from the pitch, our Kids Fanzone will be open from 12:30 until 14:30, including football skill challenges, roaming face painters and photo opportunities with Moonies! There will also be competitions with 'money can’t buy' prizes on offer, entertainment and live music from our DJ and Paul Hand.

Food and drink will be available to buy throughout the event. Retail outlets can be found inside the stadium at the Northeast Gate, and there will also be a pop-up stand located in the Kids Fanzone.

Any fan who attends the event will be eligible for free shirt printing on any shirt purchased on the day! Please note: Shirt printing is available exclusively at the City Store, located at the Etihad Stadium, which will be open from 09:30 to 18:30.

The location offers easy access from all major transport links, so you can travel here with ease, no matter where you’re coming from. Arrive early to allow plenty of time to pass our security checks. Small handheld bags, no larger than A4 size (12”x8”x3”) will be accepted.
