We enter the fixture off the back of a disappointing 3-1 loss away to Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Champions League as well as derby day defeat last weekend.

City will be looking to return to winning ways and claim our first three Premier League points of 2026.

Wolves, however, enter the tie in good form after picking up six points in their last four league games and a morale boosting 6-1 victory over Shrewsbury in the FA Cup.

Despite sitting bottom of the pack with eight points every game is unpredictable - and FPL managers will be keeping a keen eye on proceedings at the Etihad this weekend.

Another new signing was announced this week. Marc Guehi (£5.3m) is owned by 38% of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers only Erling Haaland (£15.1m) and Antoine Semenyo (£45.4m) are more popular.

This season Guehi has accrued six attacking returns, only one defender has more. He has also returned seven clean sheets, eight bonus points and is the fifth highest points scoring defender in the game.

Guehi has created nine chances this season, of which four have been classified as big chances. He has also had 15 shots on goal of which 14 have come inside the box and nine from headers.

The defender is also a defensive contributions magnet with 16 additional points scored in his 20 appearances.

One to watch

Mateus Mane (£4.5m) is Wolves’ form player. The forward has two goals, an assist and three bonus points in the last three gameweeks.

Differentials

Elsewhere, Granit Xhaka (£5.2m) and Christian Romero (£5.0m) are two low-owned gems worth considering.Xhaka faces West Ham and has registered six defensive contribution points, an assist, and three clean sheets in the last six gameweeks.

Romero has scored in back-to-back matches in the Premier League and faces Burnley who are without a win in their last 13 Premier League games.
