Clément Turpin will take charge of Norway v England in the World Cup quarter-finals on Saturday at 23:00. The French referee has already been appointed three times at this tournament.
According to L'Équipe, FIFA has kept faith with French officials for the last eight after controversy around François Letexier in Argentina v Egypt, which finished 3-2 in the round of 16.
Turpin, 44, is at his third World Cup. He has been an international since 2009 and was voted the best referee in the world in 2025. This will be his second England match of the tournament, after their 4-2 group-stage win against Croatia.
He has officiated England eight times across his international career. His assistants will be Nicolas Danos and Benjamin Pagès.
In the other quarter-final on this side of the draw, Joao Pinheiro has been assigned to Argentina v Switzerland.
