Liverpool are up against the clock as they could complete a last-minute deal before the transfer window shuts.
Liverpool have been incredibly quiet across this transfer window, with absolutely no first-team deals happening. And that includes both incoming and outgoing.
The Reds have simply decided to stick with what they've got up to this point - results be damned. They really have ignored the fact that Liverpool haven't won a single Premier League match in 2026 and only five since September.
The run of form has been spectacularly awful and while Liverpool did have the league's best unbeaten run before losing to Bournemouth, defeat quickly turned it into the joint-third worst winless run.
Changes, though? Seemingly not happening. Not incomings, anyway. There is one late deal that could take place but it's firmly up against the clock.
Andy Robertson is out of contract at the end of the season but he could well leave earlier than that. Per the Athletic, Liverpool have an agreement in place to sell him to Tottenham Hotspur.
However, the ‘clock is ticking’ on it. Liverpool will only let Robertson leave if they can brings Kostas Tsimikas back from his loan at AS Roma.
Roma will only sanction that if they can find a replacement themselves, though. They’re working on that but it leaves everything in limbo until then.
