Liverpool could have a €100m deal on their hands as one selling club nears an absolutely massive decision.
Liverpool are in the market for a winger this summer and with good reason. They’d likely need one anyway after their struggles on the wing last season following Luis Diaz’s sale to Bayern Munich.
But Mohamed Salah’s exit simply doubles their need. Yes, the Egyptian wasn’t at his best last season but he still scored six non-penalty goals in the Premier League and provided another six assists.
Liverpool have now lost that for nothing.
As for who might come in, the priority is Yan Diomande but it’s not entirely clear how likely that one is. Liverpool would love to sign him but Paris Saint-Germain also want the Ivorian. He’d also cost around €100m on the back of merely 18 months of senior football.
Another option actually comes from PSG themselves. Anfield Watch exclusively revealed back in April that Liverpool viewed Bradley Barcola as a genuine opportunity this summer.
It seems they were completely correct with that assumption. L’Equipe now reports that even thought Luis Enrique doesn’t wish to lose Barcola, PSG feel they’ll likely need to sell the player as he won’t sign a new contract.
Barcola isn’t entirely thrilled with his playing time in Paris and is willing to move on for a starring role. PSG’s interest in Diomande certainly suggests he’s correct to head off in search of that.
Liverpool, then, have a real opportunity. Barcola is set to be on the market and while he’d also cost close to €100m, the Reds may find him a ‘safer’ bet as he’s got more senior football under his belt.
Transfer Status and PSG Situation
As of 12 June 2026, Bradley Barcola is at the centre of intense transfer speculation, with reports confirming that Paris Saint-Germain are now open to allowing the 23-year-old winger to leave the club this summer. While manager Luis Enrique is reportedly keen to retain the France international, the club’s hierarchy has adopted a stance of being "not closed" to a sale due to a lack of progress in contract extension negotiations. Barcola, who has two years remaining on his current deal, has grown frustrated with his status as a backup to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in major fixtures and is reportedly seeking more regular opportunities in high-profile matches.
Interest from Premier League Giants
Barcola’s availability has put several top clubs on high alert. Liverpool and Arsenal are identified as the primary suitors for the forward, with both clubs monitoring his situation closely. Liverpool, in particular, are viewed as a long-term admirer, having pursued him for several months as they seek to rebuild their attacking options. While no deal is imminent, experts anticipate significant developments regarding his future once the 2026 FIFA World Cup concludes. Barcola is currently on international duty with France.
