Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro pop up in Madonna’s new video after World Cup snubs

Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro have made a brief cameo in Madonna’s latest video, after missing out on World Cup selection. The Chelsea pair appear in the pop star’s new project days before the tournament begins.

According to L'Équipe, the mini film, Confessions II - The Film, accompanies the forthcoming album and the 67-year-old has assembled a starry cast featuring Kate Moss and Benedict Cumberbatch.

Palmer and Joao Pedro are glimpsed side by side at urinals during a fleeting scene.

The World Cup runs from 11 June to 19 July and kicks off on Thursday. Palmer was not selected for England by Thomas Tuchel, potentially a victim of overwork.

Joao Pedro also missed out on Brazil after Carlo Ancelotti left him out of the squad. He said he would simply be another fan urging them to bring home a sixth title.
