Argentina’s clubs learned their Copa Libertadores last-16 opponents after Friday’s draw in Luque. First legs are set for 11-13 August, with the returns on 18-20, and the knockout stage begins after the World Cup.

According to SuperDepor.com, Rosario Central face Corinthians, Estudiantes de La Plata meet Universidad Católica, Platense play Coquimbo Unido, and Independiente Rivadavia take on Fluminense. Platense and Independiente Rivadavia are at this stage for the first time.

For the Argentine contingent, Central against Corinthians shapes up as the stiffest test.

If Central advance, they could meet Estudiantes in the quarter-finals. An all-Argentine tie is also possible on the other side if Platense and Independiente Rivadavia both progress.

Estudiantes qualified as Group A runners-up behind Flamengo. Universidad Católica arrive buoyed after knocking out Boca with a win at La Bombonera.

Independiente Rivadavia topped Group C with 16 points, leaving Fluminense second. They already met in the groups, a 2-1 away win for the Argentines and a 1-1 draw in Mendoza.

Elsewhere, the draw paired Cruzeiro with Flamengo.
