Corentin Tolisso obsessed with winning a trophy with OL | OneFootball

"I am missing the trophy of the heart, to win something with OL. It is really something I want to do before the end of my career."

He was speaking to Téléfoot on Sunday. The OL captain is 31.

Two months ago against Celta Vigo, OL went out of the Europa League, and Tolisso was in tears as the setback hit. It came in a competition where his team had genuine ambitions, as in the Coupe de France.

Despite a decorated career that includes the Champions League and the 2018 World Cup, he has yet to lift a trophy with OL. He was too young when the club won the 2012 Coupe de France.

His contract runs until June 2027. Whether all parties open talks on an extension in the coming months, potentially with Champions League football secured, remains to be seen.

Asked about a lucrative move to the Gulf, as taken by his friend Alexandre Lacazette, he said: "We are only two, three years apart, so if he stays there a little longer, maybe, when I am a bit older. For now, it is not my objective."
