Corinthians were beaten 3-2 by Palmeiras at Arena Barueri on Friday, ending an 11-month unbeaten run in the Brasileirão Feminino’s third round.
Their last league loss had also come against Palmeiras on 12 April 2025, in the first phase, when Andressa Alves put Corinthians ahead before Laís Estevam and Andressinha turned it 2-1. As reported by Meu Timao, Lucas Piccinato was dismissed after round two and Emily Lima will lead the team for the rest of the season.
Between those defeats, Corinthians went 19 matches unbeaten, with 13 wins and six draws, a run that underpinned their seventh league title across April 2025 to March 2026.
It was the club’s fourth-longest league streak, trailing 21 matches between August 2020 and April 2021, 22 between May 2023 and June 2024, and a record 26 from May 2021 to May 2022 under Arthur Elias.
Corinthians are the competition’s most decorated side with seven titles, winning each of the last six editions from 2020 to 2025 after a first crown in 2018.
This campaign has begun below expectations, with the team seventh on four points from three matches, a record of one win, one draw and one defeat. They host América-MG on 23 March at 21:00, venue to be confirmed, which could be Fazendinha if the FPF authorises night games following lighting works.
