On Thursday, Corinthians drew 0-0 at Chapecoense in the seventh round of the Campeonato Brasileiro, a night illuminated by a heartfelt family story.

According to Meu Timao, the club spotlighted on social media the journey of Suzamara and her family, who live in a town more than 45 km from Chapecó with just over 1,900 residents, and show their daily passion for the club. Their eldest, Maikon, collected cans to buy an official shirt, while the youngest, Maria Lúcia, follows every Brabas match.

At Arena Condá, they attended the match, met the squad and posed for photos with idols Yuri Alberto, Rodrigo Garro and Hugo Souza. Maikon and Maria also walked out on to the pitch alongside the players before kick-off.

Defender Erika sent a message, inviting the family to a Brabas fixture and reinforcing the connection between Corinthians and its supporters.

On the pitch, Dorival Júnior’s side are back on Sunday at 20h30, hosting Flamengo in the eighth round. The Brabas, led by Emily Lima, play América-MG on Monday at 21h in the fourth round of the Brasileirão Feminino. Both games are at Neo Química Arena.
