Corinthians fell 3-0 to Red Bull Bragantino on Thursday, their third successive defeat to the Bragança Paulista side and a run that edges them towards their worst sequence against this opponent.

According to Meu Timao, both this streak and the club's longest run of losses to Bragantino have come since Red Bull took charge of the Bragança Paulista team in 2019.

The current sequence began on 13 July last year, just after a pause for the Club World Cup, with a 2-1 loss in Itaquera in the Brasileirão.

Corinthians were beaten 2-1 again in the second half of the season, making their debut at Cícero de Souza Marques, which later staged the 2026 Paulistão second-round encounter.

The worst run came between 2023 and 2024, when Corinthians lost four straight games 1-0.

Three of those were in the Brasileirão, two in 2023 and one in the first half of 2024, with the other in the 2023 Paulistão first stage.

Only one of those fixtures was at Neo Química Arena, the rest were at Nabi Abi Chedid.

Despite recent results, the overall record still favours Corinthians, with 29 wins, 21 draws and 19 defeats across 69 meetings, scoring 97 and conceding 68.

The defeat left Dorival Júnior’s side eighth on three points, still in the knockout qualification places. They face São Paulo at 16:00 on Sunday at Neo Química Arena in the third round of the Paulistão.
