Corinthians were beaten 1-0 by Ferroviária on Monday night, going out of the Copa do Brasil Feminina in the last 16 and seeing their long unbeaten run at the Arena Fonte Luminosa come to an end.

According to Meu Timao, this was Corinthians’ 20th match at the ground, where they had previously gone unbeaten with 14 wins and five draws, scoring 40 and conceding nine. The all-time record at the venue now reads 14 wins, five draws and one defeat, goals 40-10, and it remains the fixture’s most-used stage, ahead of the Fazendinha on nine meetings.

The first meeting there came on 1 May 2016 in the third round of the Campeonato Paulista, a 1-0 Corinthians win sealed by Grazi, who later became a club icon.

The ground also hosted one of Corinthians’ heaviest wins over Ferroviária, a 5-0 victory in the 2020 Paulistão final, when Erika, Tamires, Diany, Giovanna Crivelari and Grazi scored to secure the state title.

Corinthians’ last win at the Arena was on 10 May 2023, a 2-1 Paulista success sealed by Jaqueline and Yasmim. Since then they had drawn three times before this defeat.

The sides have met three times this season, with two Corinthians wins at the Fazendinha and one Ferroviária victory. No further meetings are scheduled, though they could yet face each other in the knockout stages of the Brasileiro and the Paulista.
