Corinthians discuss Neo Química Arena expansion with Gaviões da Fiel | OneFootball

Corinthians hosted representatives of Gaviões da Fiel at Neo Química Arena on Thursday to examine proposals that could expand the stadium.

According to Meu Timao, the club invited the organised group for an on-site review that included president Osmar Stabile.

The main focus was the South Stand, where removing seats would lift capacity from 7,406 to 9,083. The plan answers a long-standing request from the group and sits within a broader package of structural changes.

Also proposed are new side sections in the Upper East Stand, modelled on NFL-style bleachers, which are projected to add about 2,000 seats.

If all works are completed, the club expects the arena’s total capacity to pass 50,000. It currently holds up to 48,905.

The changes still require approval from the relevant public authorities. During the visit, the group also asked for a new access point to the North Stand, near the court already within the arena complex.
