Across five visits to El Campín, Corinthians have one win and four draws, scoring four and conceding three. All meetings were in the Libertadores, beginning in 2010 with a 1-1 draw against Independiente Medellín. The sole victory came in 2013, when Danilo sealed a 1-0 win over Millonarios.

They drew 1-1 with Santa Fe in 2016, a scoreline repeated this week. The 2018 trip finished 0-0 with Millonarios.

Gustavo Henrique's goal also lengthened Corinthians' positive sequence in Colombia, where their last defeat came against Tolima in 2011. Since then, they have beaten Millonarios once and drawn seven times, twice with Santa Fe and once each with Once Caldas, Patriotas, Millonarios, Deportivo Cali and América de Cali.

The result keeps Corinthians unbeaten in this Libertadores and on 10 points. Platense have six, Santa Fe two and Peñarol one. Attention now turns to Sunday’s clássico against São Paulo at 18:30 at the Neo Química Arena.
