Corinthians made no signings or sales during the World Cup pause as a FIFA transfer ban and finances constrained activity ahead of domestic and continental resumptions.

According to Globo.com, the club are prioritising the Copa do Brasil and the Conmebol Libertadores and will keep their core group for the second half. They are late on image rights payments and are working behind the scenes to resolve the ban.

Memphis Depay’s deal runs to 31 July. He is on holiday after the World Cup and is discussing a renewal on reduced terms without current perks.

Arrivals: none. The ban stems from non-payment for José Martínez’s transfer from Philadelphia Union, a debt of US$1.5 million, R$7.7 million.

Until that is settled, Corinthians cannot register new players. There is also roughly R$6 million owed to Midtjylland over Charles, with further FIFA punishment possible.

Departures: none during the 2026 World Cup.

Possible arrivals: Arthur appeals to coach Fernando Diniz after returning to Juventus from Grêmio, but salary demands currently block any deal. Talks could reopen only if he accepts a significant cut.

Wesley, developed at Corinthians, lacks minutes at Al-Nassr and is negotiating a return to Brazil while prioritising Corinthians behind the scenes, though wages may be an obstacle.

Possible exits: Yuri Alberto is awaiting European offers. Corinthians want at least 20 million euros, R$117 million, for their 50 percent share of his rights.

André, 20, is a key asset. Milan had a 17 million euro bid, R$103 million at the time, rejected and the club accept he might not finish the season in Brazil. Breno Bidon is viewed as a likely sale around 20 to 25 million euros, R$117 to R$146 million, while Matheuzinho received enquiries from Russia and Türkiye and chose to stay, though a higher offer could trigger a sale.
