Corinthians figures launched a project to write a club 'Constitution' at a São Paulo event, aiming to channel the spirit of Democracia Corinthiana and broaden fan influence.

According to Meu Timao, the 'REDemocracia Corinthiana' meeting at Teatro Tucarena, PUC São Paulo, drew ex-players, journalists and club personalities, plus supporters, councillors and prosecutor Cássio Conserino, who leads investigations into former club presidents.

Hosted by Juca Kfouri, it recalled the 1980s movement. He said the goal is for the Fiel Torcida to push change from outside the boardroom and reclaim the club.

Eco Moliterno argued only popular mobilisation can halt the club’s bleeding and said he wants no political role, only to spark a process through a 'Constitution'. Cássio Brandão outlined a representative text drafted by 77 Corinthians supporters to reflect 35 million fans, defend the institution and denounce corruption, with a target launch on 1 September.

Casagrande spoke of his bond with the club and Sócrates, while Wladimir described how Democracia Corinthiana worked. Sócrates Filho, Homero Olivetto and Chico Malfitani each offered support, with Malfitani recalling Gaviões da Fiel’s founding against Wadih Helu and its role in Diretas Já.

Marília Ruiz spoke as a supporter, arguing Corinthians owns Parque São Jorge rather than the reverse. Alessandra Negrini backed the move, Rappin Hood cited the movement’s influence and hoped younger fans learn what democracy is. Closing, Kfouri said the 'Constitution' should include right, centre and left, and both sides of SAF, to seed democratisation.
