Corinthians drew 1-1 at Santos on Sunday in the sixth round of the Brasileirão, extending their winless run at Vila Belmiro to five matches.
Their last victory at the ground came on 21 June 2023, a 2-0 success over Santos sealed by Ruan Oliveira and Yuri Alberto.
In 2024 they lost 1-0 there in the Paulistão, João Schmidt scoring the winner. In 2025 Santos prevailed 3-1 in the league through Zé Rafael, Rollheiser and Barreal, with Raniele replying.
This year began with a 1-1 draw in the Paulista on 22 January, Yuri Alberto putting Dorival Júnior’s side ahead before Gabriel Barbosa levelled with a last-gasp free-kick.
Corinthians then hosted Bahia at Vila Belmiro in their 2026 Brasileirão opener to gain an extra day of rest before the Supercopa do Brasil. Breno Bidon put them in front, but Jean Lucas and Willian José completed a 2-1 turnaround.
Despite the recent downturn, a longer barren spell came between 2015 and 2020, when Corinthians suffered seven straight defeats at the stadium.
Across 140 matches at Vila Belmiro, Corinthians have 49 wins, 33 draws and 58 defeats, scoring 232 goals and conceding 240.
In 2026, the sides could only meet there again in a Copa do Brasil knockout tie.
