Corinthians president Osmar Stabile has called an extraordinary Conselho Deliberativo meeting to vote on the provisional removal of Romeu Tuma Júnior as council president after turmoil at the 9 March statute reform session.
The session is set for the Teatro do Parque São Jorge. According to Meu Timao, Stabile’s notice cites article 112, item 6, to justify a sitting.
The filing seeks immediate scrutiny amid allegations of misconduct, a disciplinary case and the fallout from 9 March. A formal complaint accuses Tuma of threats, harassment and interference with the executive board, backed by witness and documentary evidence.
The document adds that the 9 March meeting was halted, then the vote ended on a justification Stabile disputes, with the reform sent to a General Assembly on 18 April. A disciplinary representation and a police report were filed with the Ethics Committee, alongside a request for interim suspension, though the call would take the decision straight to the floor.
The notice cites club statute and internal rules and alleges breaches of decorum and procedure. As Tuma is implicated, Stabile says vice-chair Leonardo Pantaleão should preside. Pantaleão said he was surprised, citing article 82 II b, and argued only the council president can convene.
He deemed participation improper and urged respect for the statute. Internally, the request is unfiled and the session is not officially convened. If Tuma is removed, Pantaleão would take over and Maria Angela Ocampos would head the Ethics Committee, having previously tried to unseat Tuma on 31 May 2025.
