Corinthians register Kaio César for Paulista, reach 25 names on List A | OneFootball

Corinthians have registered forward Kaio César for the Campeonato Paulista, taking their List A to 25 players.

According to Meu Timao, he is expected to start against Capivariano at the Neo Química Arena. He joined last week and debuted in the Supercopa do Brasil, a 2-0 win over Flamengo at the Estádio Mané Garrincha, coming on in the second half to assist Yuri Alberto.

List A can include up to 35 players, with four changes permitted at the quarter-final stage. List B is unlimited and currently features eight academy products, including Breno Bidon, Gui Negão and André Luiz. Also included are Luiz Gustavo Bahia, João Vitor Jacaré and Gui Amorim, called up by Dorival Júnior after the Copinha.

Clubs can register new players until two days before the eighth and final round of the first phase. One unresolved case is José Martínez, who has not returned from Venezuela since the holidays because of delays issuing a new passport.

With registration complete, Kaio and Corinthians are chasing back-to-back Paulista titles. After facing Capivariano on Thursday at 20:30, the side will host arch-rivals Palmeiras on Sunday, also at 20:30, in Itaquera for the seventh round.
