Corinthians returned to CT Dr. Joaquim Grava to begin preparations for Wednesday’s Campeonato Brasileiro opener against Bahia at Vila Belmiro, kick-off 20:00.

According to Meu Timao, Dorival Júnior’s squad reconvened after Sunday’s 1-0 win at Velo Clube in Rio Claro. They returned to São Paulo that night and stayed at the training complex.

Players who logged more than 45 minutes completed indoor recovery work this morning. The remaining group undertook a strength session then moved outside.

On the grass, drills focused on offensive and defensive units and technical movements, followed by a small-sided game.

The day’s main development was centre-back Cacá advancing his rehabilitation. He began physical transition work after a left internal oblique strain in the abdominal area that kept him out of recent games.

Venezuelan José Martínez has remained in his home country since the holidays, awaiting resolution of a passport issue that would prevent him from featuring in the Libertadores.

Corinthians face a busy week, with Paulistão first-phase commitments, where they sit fourth overall, the league opener, and Sunday’s Supercopa final against Flamengo. They also have the Libertadores and the Copa do Brasil on their 2026 calendar.
