Corinthians began preparations on Friday to face Palmeiras at Neo Química Arena on Sunday, a day after a 3-0 win over Capivariano.
According to Meu Timao, the squad returned to CT Dr. Joaquim Grava and followed the usual post-match split programme. Those who played more than 45 minutes worked on recovery indoors, the rest did gym work then headed to the pitch.
On the grass, Dorival Júnior led tactical drills and set-piece routines, then a finishing session, sharpening up for the first Dérbi of the season.
There were notable absences. Left-back Hugo Farias sustained a lateral meniscus injury in his right knee in the first half against Capivariano and will undergo surgery in the coming days. Forward Kaio César has a right hamstring injury and has started physiotherapy.
Goalkeeper Matheus Donelli is no longer available as he prepares for medical tests at Shabab Al Ahli in the United Arab Emirates, after a loan was agreed until mid-2026 with the Dubai club.
The squad trains again on Saturday morning to complete preparations. Kick-off is at 20:30 on Sunday in the Campeonato Paulista.
