Corinthians turn down foreign bids, back young striker’s rise at the club

Corinthians showed confidence in attacking midfielder Kayke during the last transfer window. The 21-year-old player received inquiries from abroad, but the club decided to keep him in the squad and rejected all offers. The board believes that the young player has the potential to grow and contribute more until the end of the season.

According to a report by the portal Itatiaia, a team from the United Arab Emirates even made a formal loan offer, which was promptly rejected by Timão. In addition, a team from Ukraine expressed interest in buying the player's rights, but the negotiation was also dismissed by the club’s board.

The club made it clear that it has no intention of loaning or negotiating Kayke at this time. This is the same stance adopted at the start of the season, still under the command of Ramón Díaz, when other offers were also turned down. Even in a scenario of financial need, Corinthians believes the player is an important asset and is betting on his development.

Coach Dorival Júnior and assistant Lucas Silvestre maintain close communication with the attacking midfielder and have sought to instill confidence in the player. Amid recent absences, Kayke gained more opportunities and even started three consecutive matches as a starter — against Bahia, Vasco, and Athletico-PR — in addition to participating in the victory over Fluminense on September 13.

With strong performances, the young player surpassed competitors such as Talles Magno and Romero, who together have 11 goals this season but lost their spots after a series of inconsistent games. Although he has not been used in the last four rounds, the coaching staff believes Kayke can still be decisive and is working to keep him ready for new opportunities.
