Corinthians up to tenth in Brasileirão, see latest standings

On the afternoon of this Saturday, the 25th, Corinthians returned to the field for the Brazilian Championship. In a match held at Barradão, in Salvador, valid for the 30th round of the national competition, Timão faced Vitória and, in a balanced game, won 1-0, with a goal by Charles at the end of the second half.

With this result, the club from Parque São Jorge provisionally rose to tenth place in the national tournament, with 39 points, totaling ten wins, nine draws, and eleven losses, in addition to 32 goals scored and 35 conceded. However, this position may still change, as the round will conclude with four matches to be played this Sunday, the 26th.

The black-and-white triumph changed the distance between the team and its local rivals. At this moment, for example, Palmeiras occupies first place in the Brasileirão with 61 points. Mirassol is in fourth place with 55 points. São Paulo, in turn, is eighth with 41 points. Red Bull Bragantino, meanwhile, is in 11th place, right after Corinthians, with 36 points.

In addition, Corinthians also remains ahead of Santos in the standings, as the coastal team is in 16th place with 31 points. The gap to the relegation zone, finally, is back to eight points, since Vitória, in 17th place, has 31 points. Check out the full standings below:
