Kaio César, one of four new signings and wearing 37, has a right hamstring injury and was withdrawn on 14 minutes.

He has begun treatment with the physiotherapy staff at CT Joaquim Grava. No recovery timeline has been disclosed.

Hugo, understudy to Matheus Bidu, suffered a lateral meniscus injury in his right knee and will require surgery in the coming days. He felt the knee after a challenge on 36 minutes and was taken off.

He is expected to be sidelined for a few months, underlining the need to reinforce left-back. A return for Fabrizio Angileri is close, with only final details to agree, after his previous deal ended on 31 December.

On Friday the squad began preparations for the derby with Palmeiras in two groups. Those who played more than 45 minutes against Capivariano worked on recovery indoors. Others trained on the pitch after gym strength work, with tactical opposition drills, set-pieces and a finishing block.

Corinthians face Palmeiras at Neo Química Arena on Sunday at 20:30 Brasília time, in the seventh round of the Paulistão.
