Corinthians without five, three at risk for Grêmio clash in Brasileirão

Corinthians will face Grêmio this Sunday afternoon, November 2, at 4:00 PM (Brasília time), at Neo Química Arena, in a match valid for the 31st round of the Brazilian Championship. At the moment, the Alvinegro occupies the tenth position with 39 points (10 wins, nine draws, and 11 losses – 32 goals scored and 35 conceded).

For this match, the Corinthians coaching staff will be without five players: midfielders Raniele and José Martínez (serving suspensions for their third yellow card in the match against Vitória), midfielder André Luiz (recovering from a ligament injury in his knee), as well as midfielders Breno Bidon (serving a suspension after being sent off in the last match) and Vitinho (recovering from arthroscopy on his right knee).

On the other hand, Corinthians will have three new faces for the match: goalkeeper Hugo Souza, recovered from a left shoulder injury, as well as right-back Matheuzinho and midfielder Maycon, who have served suspensions for their third yellow card in last weekend's match, October 25, against Vitória at Barradão.

The Alvinegro will also have to keep an eye on the situation of three players who are one yellow card away from suspension. If they are booked in this Sunday’s game, they will not play against Red Bull Bragantino next Wednesday, November 5, at 7:00 PM (Brasília time), in the interior of São Paulo, for the 32nd round of the national tournament. They are: midfielder Charles, midfielder Rodrigo Garro, and forward Talles Magno.

According to ge.globo, Corinthians should start the match with: Hugo Souza; Matheuzinho, André Ramalho, Gustavo Henrique, and Matheus Bidu; Maycon, Charles, André Carrillo, and Rodrigo Garro; Memphis Depay and Yuri Alberto.
