Corinthians were knocked out of the Copa do Brasil Feminina after a 1-0 defeat to Ferroviária in Araraquara on Monday, leaving them without a trophy in four successive competitions for the first time.

According to Meu Timao, it is the club’s longest barren run since the women’s team were relaunched in 2016. The sequence covers the 2026 Copa do Brasil, Supercopa do Brasil and Copa das Campeãs, plus the 2025 Campeonato Paulista, with only the cup exit under head coach Emily Lima.

Corinthians had previously gone two tournaments without silverware on four occasions. They lost the 2024 Paulista and the 2025 Supercopa under Lucas Piccinato, exited the 2022 Libertadores and then lost the Paulista, and were beaten in both the Brasileiro and Paulista in 2017 and 2016. The latter three runs came under Arthur Elias.

Even so, the women’s side have claimed 22 trophies. Their honours list features seven Brasileiros, six Libertadores, four Paulistas, three Supercopas do Brasil, one Copa do Brasil and one Copa Paulista.

Lima now faces the task of sparking a response across three competitions still to come this season. Corinthians lead the Brasileiro and sit second in the Paulista. In October, their focus will switch to the Libertadores in Ecuador.
