Corinthians women to play at Arena during Fazendinha works

On the afternoon of this Saturday (7), just minutes before the final of the Women’s Supercup between Palmeiras and Corinthians in Barueri, president Osmar Stabile gave an interview to SporTV and revealed that the Brabas will start hosting their matches at the Arena. It’s worth remembering that Fazendinha has been banned from hosting night games since May 2025 due to the venue’s lighting issues.

“The games will now be held on Fridays, which we receive with a bit of sadness, as we will no longer play on weekends. Playing during the week was important, but now we’ll have matches on Thursdays and Fridays. On the other hand, on those days we have the availability of Neo Química Arena. Therefore, initially, the teams will host their games at the Arena until we can resolve the situation at Fazendinha,” he began.

Later, the president stated that Corinthians has a plan for the renovation of Fazendinha. However, he mentioned that financial issues ended up delaying the start of the works.

“Fazendinha already has a defined project and we also have a plan to carry out the work. At the moment, financial difficulties have prevented this investment, which is around R$ 10 million. However, we already have this partner confirmed who will help us, and I believe that soon we will have Fazendinha available again,” he said.

The lighting problems at Estádio Alfredo Schürig occurred precisely due to the natural wear of the venue’s floodlights. Unable to host their games at Parque São Jorge, the Brabas ended up using Canindé, Pacaembu, Neo Química Arena, and José Liberati in Osasco during the second half of the year.
