Corinthians Women train in London before Club World Cup semi-final

The Corinthians women's team is in a crucial phase of preparation for the FIFA Champions Cup semifinal, considered the first Club World Cup in the history of the sport. This Sunday (25th), the team held another activity at Barnet FC Stadium in London, where the team is based for the international tournament.

According to information from Meu Timão, which followed part of the training directly from the English capital, the Brabas squad took to the field for their third session since arriving in the European country, with press access limited to the first few minutes of the session, a period reserved for the athletes' warm-up.

The goalkeepers, Lelê, Nicole Ramos, and Rillary participated in a series of finishing drills under the supervision of the preparation team. Grazi, the club's football executive and former Corinthians athlete, closely followed the athletes' preparation.

According to the statement released by the club, before heading to the field, the alvinegras athletes underwent physical activities in the gym, focusing on strength work. Subsequently, coach Lucas Piccinato initiated tactical, defensive, and set-piece adjustments, which lasted about 60 minutes.

Currently, Corinthians has three absences related to the competition: Dayana Rodríguez, Paola García, and Gisela Robledo. According to Meu Timão, the club is awaiting clearance from British authorities for the athletes to travel. Meanwhile, the trio continues training at CT Joaquim Grava in São Paulo.

The squad's schedule includes a closed training session on Monday, exclusive to the Corinthians delegation. Press access to the Brabas' preparation will resume on Tuesday, the day before the match against Gotham FC from the United States, scheduled for Wednesday, January 28th, at 9:30 AM (Brasília time), in London, England.
