Could a 39-year-old Wayne Rooney start ahead of Benjamin Šeško and Bryan Mbeumo for Manchester United?
On the evidence provided over the weekend - yes.
Whilst the current crop of United players were getting humbled at the Etihad in the Manchester derby, the former generation were out in South Korea for a legends game.
It was billed as attack versus defence with FC Spear - including the likes of Didier Drogba, Eden Hazard and Steven Gerrard - took on Shield Utd - comprised of Ashley Cole, Sol Campbell and Alessandro Nesta.
Ultimately it was the team of defenders who ran out 2-1 winners with Rio Ferdinand captaining their legendary side.
But Rooney was the one who opened the scoring midway through the second half with a goal that rolled back the years.
He's still got it.
