Coventry City host Swansea City in the Championship on Friday, 26 December 2025 in Coventry, with the leaders looking to strengthen their grip on top spot while the visitors aim to pull clear of the bottom end.
Coventry City are first with 48 points after 22 games. Swansea City are 19th on 26. Recent head to head favours the visitors, who have four wins to the hosts' one across the last 10 meetings, with five draws.
The leaders are unbeaten at home this season and arrive unbeaten in three, having drawn at Southampton after beating Bristol City. Swansea have won three of their last five, yet away form is fragile with only two wins and six defeats on the road.
Frank Lampard is without suspended Jay Dasilva, while Brandon Thomas-Asante, Liam Kitching, Tatsuhiro Sakamoto, Oliver Dovin and Bobby Thomas are injured. With Thomas-Asante on 10 league goals, the onus could fall on Haji Wright (eight) and Ellis Simms (seven), with Victor Torp contributing seven goals and four assists. Swansea's Ricardo Almeida Santos is sidelined.
Coventry have scored 53 goals at 2.4 per game and kept eight clean sheets, a blend that could test a Swansea back line that has conceded 30. Vitor Matos's side tend to see the ball with 55% possession and 81.04% passing accuracy, but have netted only 24. Zan Vipotnik's nine goals remain a key outlet.
A win would take Coventry to 51 points and further their promotion charge. Swansea would move to 29 with victory and could climb towards mid table, easing relegation concerns.
