Criciúma in talks with Corinthians to extend Leo Mana loan | OneFootball

According to Globo.com, Criciúma have opened talks with Corinthians to extend right-back Leo Mana’s loan beyond 31 July, which could see him stay until the end of the season.

Corinthians have confirmed that discussions were initiated by Criciúma. Two other Série B clubs have also shown interest in a move for the 22-year-old.

Mana is contracted to Corinthians until the end of 2029. He joined Criciúma in 2025 and has eight appearances. His last outing came on 19 April against Fortaleza in Série B.

For now, Corinthians’ coaching staff do not plan to recall him, viewing another loan as preferable for minutes and experience. Their options at right-back include Matheuzinho and Pedro Milans, with youngster Jacaré returning from injury.

Criciúma began exploring an extension after right-back Marcinho suffered an injury. He is expected to miss the next rounds of Série B.

The club have returned to training with focus on Vila Nova.
