Bryan Cristante is not coming back to action anytime soon.

The Italian midfielder has been sidelined for over three weeks with an ankle sprain which Roma’s medical team has failed to improve.

The idea was for Cristante to try and recover for the match against Parma but a relapse happened, forcing the player to continue to remain out of action.

According to La Repubblica, it will take another three weeks to see Bryan Cristante back on the pitch.

The injury suffered against Atalanta, in fact, was underestimated by Roma’s medical staff, who, after the first MRI, thought it was a simple knock, even if very strong.

However, the effusion remained extensive for days, which is why it was decided to carry out a second MRI which highlighted the ligament damage.

The midfielder will therefore miss the matches against Milan, Lazio and Bologna and is aiming to recover for the match against Genoa.
