Westerlo have a wonderkid on their hands. 17-year-old central defender Luka Vušković has been a revelation for the side this season. The defender is currently on loan from Tottenham, having joined the London side in the summer an immediately been sent out to Belgium. Despite his main job being keeping the opposition at bay, the defender is the proud owner of a pretty decent record. With six goals this season, he is the highest scoring teenager in Europe. He has one goal more than Barcelona and Spain wonderkid Yamine Lamal. These numbers may just be for domestic leagues, but they are still impressive for a central defender.

Vušković is Westerlo’s top scorer this season with his six goals in 20 matches. He has also provided one assist. The central defender came through the Hadjuk Split academy before making his debut in the 2023/2024 season. For the second half of that campaign he was loaned to Polish side Radomiak Radom, where he played 14 games and scored three goals. The young Croatian is clearly a huge talent and is certainly showing that during his current loan spell with Westerlo. Spurs fans will also be delighted to hear that their young talent is performing well in the Pro League.
