Crysencio Summerville is closing in on a move to Al Hilal, with Goal.com reporting an 80 million euro switch from West Ham United that would be the Saudi league’s second costliest deal.

Born in Rotterdam and aged 24, he came through Feyenoord’s academy and signed his first deal in March 2018. That year he scored against Germany as the Netherlands won the UEFA Under-17 European Championship.

After Dutch loans, he joined Leeds United in 2020, rising from the under-23s under Marcelo Bielsa to the first team within a year and extending his deal to 2026 at the start of 2022-2023.

That campaign delivered an 89th-minute winner at Anfield in a 2-1 victory, ending Liverpool’s 29-match home unbeaten run and giving Leeds their first win there since 2001.

Despite relegation, he stayed for 2023-2024 and delivered 21 goals and 10 assists, taking the Championship player of the season and a team of the year place. West Ham then paid 25 million pounds, but a serious injury ended his debut campaign in January 2025.

He regained form the next season, recording seven goals and five assists, and earned a Netherlands call for the 2026 World Cup, posting two goals and two assists in four games before a round-of-32 exit.

In the shootout against Morocco, Yassine Bounou saved his penalty while standing still, a technique he also showcased at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Now Bounou and Summerville are set to be Al Hilal team-mates.
