Leedsunited.news reports that Daniel Farke has ruled out Gabi Gudmundsson and remains unsure on Jaka Bijol and Noah Okafor for Friday’s home meeting with Burnley.
Leeds know that three points are likely enough to secure Premier League survival, while a draw could also be sufficient depending on other results.
Farke said Gudmundsson suffered a hamstring issue in Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final defeat to Chelsea. He will miss Friday and is expected to be sidelined beyond it, with Tottenham also in doubt before a further assessment.
The head coach added there are question marks over both Okafor and Bijol. Okafor took a blow to his calf and Bijol has a hip flexor problem. He hopes to have them available but cannot confirm that yet.
Gudmundsson’s absence removes a left-sided option and forces a rethink of Leeds’ defensive shape and balance at a delicate stage of the season.
Uncertainty over Bijol and Okafor could also prompt tweaks to both the back line and attack. Leeds remain in control of their fate, though Farke must manage these gaps carefully in a game that could shape their season.
