Orlando Pirates will be looking to keep their foot on the pedal and stretch their lead at the top as the DStv Diski Challenge returns with a festival atmosphere at Mpumalanga Stadium in Hammarsdale this weekend.
The Buccaneers, perched at the summit of the reserve league with 31 points from 13 matches, are set to take on AmaZulu in Saturday’s festival showdown.
Meanwhile, second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns, just two points adrift of Pirates, go head-to-head with Sekhukhune United on Sunday.
Last season’s runners-up Stellenbosch FC will be out to make a statement against Polokwane City, who have already stunned Pirates earlier in the campaign.
Defending champions Kaizer Chiefs, currently fifth on 20 points, will close out the two-day festival with a tantalising clash against the ambitious sixth-placed Richards Bay FC on Sunday.
Elsewhere, Magesi FC are set for an away encounter with Marumo Gallants on Sunday, while TS Galaxy play host to third-placed Siwelele FC a day earlier.
In the Eastern Cape, Chippa United will look to turn on the style against Orbit College, who occupy 15th spot with 11 points from 13 outings.
