André Ferreira set the tone in the 29th minute with a sharp low save, and his six-stop display preserved Moreirense's 1-1 draw with Nacional.
That first half intervention steadied the hosts and showcased his reading of long-range efforts, as he palmed away a skidding strike and stayed composed under pressure before the interval.
After the restart he beat out Liziero's rising drive from distance (59.). He was finally beaten by Miguel Baeza's left-footed shot from outside the box (67.), but his response defined the closing stages.
Ferreira then turned aside a firm header from Jesús Andrés Ramírez (83.). He followed up by stopping Lucas Joao's header (88.). In the first minute of second half stoppage time he saved Léo Santos's header, and in the sixth minute of second half stoppage time he parried Pablo Ruan's drive towards the top left.
He finished with six saves, three from inside the box, as Nacional produced 20 attempts with seven on target. Nine recoveries and two clearances underlined how his positioning and handling kept the tie under control late on.
Moreirense remain seventh on 35 points and visit Porto next. Nacional are 14th on 22 and host Estoril next.
