Ephron Mason-Clark created the breakthrough in the 19th minute and later struck in second half stoppage time as Coventry City beat Wrexham 3-1.
His whipped cross teed up the close-range opener (19.), the winger repeatedly finding room to attack the left channel and drive at the defence.
After the restart he continued to carry threat, then slid a pass that allowed Ellis Reco Simms a central sight of goal, which Danny Ward saved in second half stoppage time. Moments later, he raced onto Frank Onyeka's through ball and finished across the goalkeeper.
He ended with a goal and an assist, two key passes and seven touches in the box, and was fouled three times – numbers that underlined how often he forced Wrexham onto the back foot.
With Coventry City enjoying 60.7% possession, his direct running and timing of runs into the area repeatedly disrupted Wrexham's shape and kept the game tilted towards the home side's attacking third.
Coventry City remain top on 92 points and visit Watford next. Wrexham host Middlesbrough next.
