Diogo Gonçalves broke the deadlock in the 57th minute with a right-footed strike from outside the box, setting Konyaspor on their way to a 2-0 win at Antalyaspor.
He had signalled that threat early, slipping in Blaz Kramer on a fast break (2.). Moments later he released Kazeem Olaigbe down the left to shoot again (45.).
The breakthrough came on another transition, as Morten Bjørlo threaded a through ball for the Portugal winger to drill low into the bottom-right corner (57.). It rewarded his timing to burst beyond Antalyaspor's midfield line.
Gonçalves' numbers backed up the eye test: one shot, two key passes, four tackles and six possession regains. That blend of incision and work rate kept Antalyaspor stretched and helped Konyaspor protect their box when required.
With space opening as the hosts pushed up, his positioning between the lines repeatedly launched counters, while the visitors' compact shape did the rest.
Konyaspor face Fenerbahçe in the Türkiye Kupasi next. Antalyaspor visit Göztepe in the Süper Lig.
