Declan Rice could miss England’s World Cup quarter-final against Norway on Saturday at 23:00 because of illness, according to The Athletic.

The Arsenal midfielder also has a hamstring issue and missed Wednesday’s session, The Athletic added. The BBC says he did not train on Thursday either.

Marc Guéhi is also a doubt with hamstring discomfort sustained during the last 16 win over Mexico, 3-2. The Athletic says there are doubts over both players ahead of facing Erling Haaland’s Norway.

Reece James’s availability has been questioned by The Athletic, with the right-back dealing with hamstring trouble and out since the second group match against Ghana, 0-0. The BBC says he trained on Thursday and could be available to play.

Jarell Quansah will be absent after his red card against Mexico, which brought a two-match suspension.
